Updating details of sextruplets dad
By Anna Ramdass May 09, 2013 The sextuplets’ parents are ungrateful and owe the Government, the Prime Minister and the taxpayers of this country a “thank you” for all that was done to ensure that mother and babies had the best care possible, Health Minister Dr Fuad Khan said yesterday.
It wasn’t until they arrived in Richmond at VCU Medical Center that they learned they were expecting sextuplets. As for what the kids want nowadays, she shared (via Us Weekly), "They want a dad who’s there for them." She went on, “If I’m gonna be really honest, there was kind of the old Jon and the new Jon and none of us can quite understand, like, what happened there. I mean, they coined it years ago: ‘old Daddy' and 'new Daddy.' That’s understandable, but, like, hard to kind of digest for all of us.” Last month, Kate told “Extra” that she supported her kids’ relationship with Jon, even though she chooses not to communicate with him.She commented, "I support the kids and their relationship [with him] — some visit, some choose not to, some visit sometimes. The babies ranged from 1 pound, 10 ounces (737g), to 2 pounds, 15 ounces (1.3kg).The couple learned in January they were expecting six children. "For the very first time we were expecting." The delivery team included: "experts from maternal-fetal medicine, labour and delivery, nursing, anaesthesia, respiratory, neonatal medicine, social work, nutrition, cardiology and chaplain services," the VCU Medical Centre said.“We’re going through this extraordinary journey together with the family,” said Ronald Ramus, M.
D., director of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at VCU Medical Center.
AFTER 17 years of trying to have kids, Adeboye and Ajibola Taiwo have had six at once.
A Virginia hospital said its staff has successfully delivered the couple's sextuplets and the three boys and three girls are thriving.
"A typical labour and delivery shift includes one, perhaps two premature births, usually with time in between.
We had to co-ordinate with our colleagues in the NICU for six premature babies to be delivered simultaneously," said Dr Susan Lanni from VCU Medical Center.
VCU Medical Center in Richmond announced the births in a statement, saying they were the first sextuplets delivered at the hospital.
